What you see - A welcoming green colored signboard greets you at the entrance – announcing not just Green Trends Beauty Salon, but also the existence of the ‘Little Buds’ Salon for children. In fact the section for little ones forms a colorful backdrop to the reception up front. Two blue sun mirrors face you from a wall full of colorful wall paper featuring cartoons of a dog, donkey, rooster and a little yellow plane flying amongst white clouds in a blue sky. It almost makes you wish you had some of this in your days. There are two different colored small, high parlor chairs to hold the fidgety young ones in place.
Except for this nook of the salon, all the other parts maintain a lime green color scheme uniformly. The waiting area is served well by a long cedar wood bench on one side and a five seater couch set on the other. This area stocks some newspapers and reading material as well as a showcase of five shelves of beauty products. Soft music plays through the speakers to keep you in good spirits.
What you get - The gents section to the left of the entrance is well served by four hair stations, one pedicure tub and seat and one facial chair. All fit in neatly in a room, beside which there is a private body massage room and wash room facility.
The ladies section is a three room affair, with the hair section having three chairs, and two pedicure stations behind them. There is a separate facial room adjoining this, as well as a separate body massage room. They also have a store to stock up all kinds of things they may need to satisfy customers.
Their services include hair cuts (Rs.70-150), hair streaking and coloring (Rs. 100-2,250), hair spa treatment and even a head massage (Rs. 125-175). They have body massage too from Rs. 500-750. Manicures are for Rs. 75 to Rs. 175 and pedicures from Rs. 150 to Rs. 250.
They have a good variety of facials (Rs. 250-2,000) including Strawberry, Red Banana and Avocado. Must try is their Paraffin Dip Pedicure and Pinacolada Pedicure (Rs. 250). The latter uses raw pineapple – a rich source of Vitamin D – that helps soothe tired feet and relax sore heels.
They also do bridal make up and have specialized services that can be availed of at any time and place, keeping in mind the traditions and customs of the people getting married. Price available on request.
Our verdict - If you want hygienic beauty treatments, this is the perfect place. They sterilize their combs and scissors in a Sterix hot chamber, and also disinfect aprons and wash towels after they are used once. Not many other beauty parlors can boast of doing the same. You can fix an appointment by calling them up before coming, just to make sure that you need not wait for long.

We are made up of seventy percent water, and water is the main element in the world. Water is an ideal custodian of information and we resonate with the water in our home. We get pure water into our homes and use it for purification; the bathroom eliminates the negative energy of a home together with the impure water. Following is useful information to bring luck into your life by improving your bathroom.
The round mirrors are probably the most important aspect of a feng shui bathroom. We look in the round mirror after waking and before leaving the home. A round mirror connects us with our alter ego, and helps to restore harmony to the physical and subtle body. A mirror can also help to increase strength, vigor and health.
Try to choose the form of mirrors according to the element of your Zodiac sign. Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius – a round mirror. Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn – an oval mirror. Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – rectangular round mirror. Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces – a square mirror. If you are having difficulty with the choice (i.e., if you have a few family members of different signs), then choose the strongest element. We enumerated the elements above in order of their strength (the Fire element is the strongest).
General rules on mirrors in the feng shui bathroom are as follows: Mirrors visually extend the space even in a small room, but it is best not to abuse them. It’s best not to hang mirrors opposite one another, since the images will lurch from one to another, creating a useless closed circle of energy. It’s not desirable to use round mirror tiles, which break up the reflection (and personal Qi energy). Mirrors should fit snugly to the wall, and be smooth. The use of magnifying round shaped mirrors in terms of Feng Shui, is undesirable.
The symbol of the Water element that controls this room is a square. If your bathroom is square, it will be easier for your body to part with the accumulated negative energy. The sewer pipe must be closed from the outside (brick or tile), so that bad energy does not penetrate back into the home. Good air circulation (and thus the circulation of Qi) plays an important role, so it makes sense to install a vent. Keep the toilet lid and the door closed.
Water is associated with wealth and the flow of Qi. Regardless of this room’s location, some of the adjoining zone’s qualities will be washed off with water. It’s not too good to have a feng shui bathroom right in front of the entrance door, as a lot of energy immediately goes into the sewer. If you are building a house, locate this room at the outer wall of the home. It’s good to have a small window in this room.
Water symbolizes wealth, so the bathroom located in the wealth zone (Bagua) can mean losing money. If your money is going through your fingers like sand, the fault might lie with a bathroom. In this case, use bright and pleasant lighting, round mirrors nature images, aromatic oils, and bowls with flowers. Add a soft mat, bright synthetic sponge or washcloth, or a fluffy towel. Taking a bath, add a few drops of aromatic oil to the water for pleasant sensations.
You can liven up your bathroom with plants. They will also dry the dampness. The plants will not allow the Qi energy to stagnate in the corners. You can draw plenty of Qi in by hanging pictures with high mountains and/or gentle curving rivers.
Use feng shui bathroom tips, and you will create a smooth and beneficial flow of Qi and be immune from trouble.

You’re in a bank. It’s Friday afternoon and there’s a long line at the teller’s window, and so you wait. And wait. You’re bored, and can’t wait to get out of there. You look around, and everybody looks like the way you feel. As you look around, something catches your eye.
You notice near the ceiling a round mirror. You look around some more and realize there are several of these round shaped mirrors spread throughout the bank. You guess there must be security cameras behind the round shaped mirrors you return your glance back to the original round mirrors you discover there appears to be a pale flesh-colored round ball resting on the rear top part of your head. You reach up to the top of your head, but feel or see no ball.
You look back up at the round shaped mirror. What is that? Is it some kind of security camera light behind the round mirror that shines directly at your head? No, that can’t be it. Suddenly, it hits you like a speeding, runaway freight train. You know what the ball is. You’re horrified. Three of the worst words in the dictionary for a guy can now be permanently associated with you -’I'M GOING BALD!’
You become completely depressed. This is happening way too early to you. How did this happen? When did this start? How could you not have realized this earlier? How long have you actually been going bald? Why hasn’t anybody mentioned this to you earlier?
Your brain races to find the answer, but struggles mightily. Your dad had plenty of hair. It got gray, but women seemed to think he looked like Arnold Palmer. Your grandfather had plenty of hair too. It can’t be hereditary.
Well, what is the problem then? Stress? Everybody has got stress. If stress is the problem, you are doomed.
Maybe it could be caused by that cheap shampoo you are using. You vow never to buy another bottle of that shampoo ever again.
You remember a party you were at about a month earlier. You were sitting near a couple of attractive women, a blonde and a brunette, whom you did not know, but now some of the conversation you overheard is now coming back to your memory.
The blonde had said to the brunette, ” I wouldn’t go out with a cueball if he was the last man on earth.” The brunette said, “Why? Some of them are kind of cute.” The blonde replied, ” They do absolutely nothing for me. I’d rather go gay than go cueball.”
You are mortified. Deflated. Defeated. Numb. You are single and you love women, and just want a level playing field, one that gives you a chance. Now, you figure 75-90% of women won’t give you the time of day. The 10 – 25% that still will give you a shot probably look like Ugly Betty, Big Bertha, Elsa Lanchester, or the Wicked Witch of the East.
You assess your options and realize there are only five:
1) Go the toupe route.
2) Go the plug route, one plug at a time.
3) Go the do absolutely nothing route.
4) Go the find current hair-growing products
on the market route.
5) Go the Golden Gate Bridge route.
You quickly eliminate options 1,2, and 5. It’s down to option 3 or 4. You think to yourself, ‘Maybe Ugly Betty wouldn’t be so bad,’ but a voice in the back of your head says, ” You have got to be kidding me, Buckwheat, get serious.” It is then you realize option 4 is the way to go.
You vow to yourself to do your due diligence and learn as much as you can about hair-growing products. After you do your research, you find there are good hair-growing products on the market, and hope returns. It is not the end of the world. Life does go on, even with a draft on the top of your head.

Home improvement is an important part of owning a house. Primarily because people enjoy making their homes nicer and more comfortable to live in, but also because when it comes time to sell the house and move onto the next one, time, effort, and money spent on home improvement is more or less returned by adding to the sale price. One of the ways people redecorate their houses is by painting rooms bright and expressive colors. The same room with different color schemes can give an entirely different feel to its occupants. Once you have painted your room a new color, the best way to connect that paint job to the molding you have along the edges is to use wallpaper borders. They are used to blend the new look of the wall with the existing decor and furniture.
Regardless of how your room currently looks, there are wallpaper borders available that will enhance the style and aesthetic, and overall increase the enjoyment you get from simply being in the room. They are available in all colors, sizes, textures, and styles, and if budgets are tight, inexpensive wallpaper borders can keep a room busy despite not having much furniture in it. Borders are also perfect for emphasizing important wall-hanging furniture. In living rooms this could be a flat panel TV, while in the bathroom or hallway enhancing a large round mirror with a wallpaper border pattern pulls the room together.
Wallpaper borders are not limited only to bedrooms and living rooms, either. Similar techniques work perfectly on bathrooms and kitchens. Depending on the color and style used, you will get different effects on the mood. If you want to make your living room feel open and airy, choose a border that is lighter in color and less abrupt. If you are working on a bedroom and want to make it feel more cozy, choose a more subdued and darker color, and a more prominent style. For kids rooms, you can easily find borders that depict their favorite toys or cartoons, animals, or other child-themed patterns. For adults, there are patterns based on different eras like the 1920s or 1950s.
